For the past 10 years I have been consulting for NGOs and international organizations like UNOCHA, Freedom House, the World Bank, Ushahidi, NDI, UNICEF, UNDP, the Popular Engagement Policy Lab, Internews, etc. on the use of ICT4D, new technologies and crisis mapping. I am also the Co-Founder of the Standby Task Force, and a member of the International Network of Crisis Mappers. I worked for 3 years as Media and Innovation Advisor in the Africa Region, dealing with projects ranging from health, to humanitarian aid, to environmental adaptation in countries like Zambia, Kenya, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Mali, Nigeria and Republic of South Sudan. I have worked on ICT4D project all over the world, from Iraq to Afghanistan, from China to Ukraine. In 2015 I was in Liberia working on the Ebola Response and after that I lived and worked for 2 years in South Sudan. I hold a Master degree from Colombia University - School of International and Public Affairs, a BA in International Affairs from the University of Bologna, a Master in Human Rights from the University of Padova and a Post-Graduate Degree on Humanitarian Assistance from the Center for the Rights of People of the Padova University. Right now I live in London, still work on humanitarian response and I still am a bit of a geek.
